The Truckee Hostel is now the Redlight.
The Truckee Hostel building was first constructed in the 1880's. It was one of 3 hotels in the Truckee area. In the early 1920's it burned down and was rebuilt on the same foundation footprint in the late 1920's. Since then, it has had a few small additions to the main structure. It was a brothel at one time and has always served as some form of lodging. Now the hostel is the REDLIGHT.
Who Stays at the Truckee Hostel?:
The Truckee Hostel provides inexpensive lodging and a destination for those who travel. The hostel gathers travelers with a common interest in adventure sports. Shared rooms, kitchen and lounge promote a social atmosphere. There are also private rooms available.
